Bodø Townhall

Brekke & Strand has been asked to assist the architects atelier – lorentzen – langkilde to implement the objectives in their prize-winning project for Bodø Town Hall:

“By taking the Town Hall and the Bank as our point of departure, our ambition is to create a unified building with a harmonious balance between the old and the new, where the qualities of the existing buildings and the new buildings mutually reinforce one another.” The main acoustical challenge will be to dampen sound propagation in a large, continuous volume that binds together different areas, which each contain bustling life.
