Skellefteå gets a new cultural center and hotel. The building is called Sara Culture House, named after Sara Lidman, and will be built in wood. With its 20 floors stretching 80 meters above the ground, it will be among the tallest buildings in the world of its kind.
Brekke & Strand has contributed with excellence in room and building acoustics where the work involved parts such as concert halls, technical installations, hotels, restaurants and conferences.
Exciting challenges, especially in sound insulation, since the building material has largely been cross-glued wood panels.
The building is beeing constructed in the center of Skellefteå, designed by White architects and is expected to be completed in the summer of 2021.
Key personel: Lars V. Strand & Kjell Nordmark.
