Kuben School

Risløkka vocational training centre is a new school facility in Oslo. The upper secondary school includes, among others, the subjects building and construction, the electrical trades, health and social care. The centre also contains a library, sports hall, canteen, open-access areas and a rooftop terrace.

Issues: road traffic noise, soundproofing combined with visual openness and extensive use of glass. Room acoustics in the classrooms and in large, open, common areas. Noise experienced in the neighbouring buildings during the construction period.
