Clarion Hotel The Hub
With a conference hall for 1000 people, spas, restaurants and 810 hotel rooms spread over 55,000 square meters, The Hub is not just a big hotel. It is by far Norway’s largest.
With an enthusiastic Petter Stordalen on a “zipline”, fireworks and a large free concert, the opening of the Clarion Hotel The Hub was recently marked on Jernbanetorget in Oslo.
The giant hotel, which spans 16 floors in height, opened the doors to the public on March 1st, but the hotel is still not completely finished. There are a total of 640 hotel rooms and most of the public areas that have been completed so far. The remaining 170 hotel rooms, as well as parts of the outdoor work, will be completed by June 1st.
– This is definitely the largest construction project we have ever had. We have built a landmark. It is a huge prestigious project, which we and everyone else involved will be proud of for many years to come, says project manager Per-Kristian Overvik in Betonmast, which is a turnkey contractor.
He has led the work of Betonmast together with production manager Øyvind Øveraas and project engineer Guy Engvik.
