With the new Haugenstua school, Betonmast Oslo and Undervisningsbygg have finished yet another school project with high quality and high environmental standard.
Large investments in schools in the capital continues, and only in 2016 Oslo invests 2.7 billion NOK in school buildings. This includes new buildings, renovation, reconstruction and capacity expansions. For this year’s school start the municipality inaugurates six new schools, and one of them is Haugenstua school in Groruddalen. The old school facility from 1972 consists of Haugenstua school and Smedstua school. On the large plot, it has now been erected a new building in passive house standard, with an area of 8550 square meters of BTA. In addition, a large outdoor area that after the the plan will be completed in the autumn of 2016. The old school building will be demolished during the summer holidays.
